R-KEY-LT IEC 61850 (HW rev. E0)

The R-KEY-LT IEC 61850 is a Modbus<->IEC 61850 gateway that enables integration between the Modbus protocol, used in industrial settings for communication between devices such as PLCs, sensors, and actuators, and the IEC 61850 standard, designed for communication in electrical substations and power automation systems. Equipped with a serial port and an Ethernet port, the R-KEY-LT IEC 61850 is a translator between the two protocols, allowing Modbus-based devices to communicate with IEC 61850-compliant systems. This is particularly useful in power automation applications, where ensuring secure, reliable communication and interoperability between control and protection devices in substations is crucial. The gateway enables the integration of existing Modbus infrastructures with modern IEC 61850 systems, supporting real-time data collection, processing, and distribution for advanced monitoring and control of power grids, thus improving the efficiency and safety of energy processes.

Note: KEY Series devices support up to a single IEC 61850 client. To interact with multiple clients simultaneously, TWS or PASS ENERGY Series EDGE devices can be used
