Power Monitoring & Electrical Measurement
Included within the SENECA Power Monitoring & Electrical Measurement line are a number of systems dedicated to monitoring energy consumption. These include multifunction network analyzers with advanced features such as integrated web servers, harmonic analysis, and Rogowski sensors. In addition, we find energy meters equipped with Modbus/Ethernet/M-bus protocols also with MID certifications.
This line also includes a wide range of AC/DC current transformers, which use a patented magnetic measuring principle or Hall effect technology, along with traditional multistandard panel converters for electrical quantities such as Vrms, Irms, Watts, VAR, Vrms, frequency, energy, and power factor. These devices offer Modbus or analog output options for optimal flexibility in integration.
Instrumentation in the SENECA Energy and Electrical Measurements line is distinguished by its reliability and the wide range of options available. This instrumentation enables key objectives such as reducing wiring, saving energy, revamping and retrofitting existing installations, and optimizing energy efficiency, all with ease of use.
Energy Power Meters - Energy Management Systems
These energy power meters are designed specifically to detect power supply details in single-phase or three-phase loads networks. S203s allow energy and power analysis and the power quality control. They support the communication protocol ModBUS RTU
TAA and TAC Series - Current Transformers
TA Series current transformers are 0.5 accuracy class components available in open-core (for easy installation applications), primary wound (for low primary current values), and busbar (for high primary current values) versions. They can be used for current measurement on both cable and busbar systems. They are the ideal supply complement for current measurements in combination with network analyzers, energy meters, and electrical measurement converters. TA Series current transformers are installed to reduce the line current to a value of up to 5 A on the output secondary circuit.
Rogowski Coils
Rogowski trasducers RC150/RC190 are flexible coils without magnetic core, in toroid form, placed around the current carrying conductor. The variable magnetic field produced by the current induces a voltage in the coil. The length of the coil ranges from 25 up to 180 cm while the diameter of the rope is reduced up to about 8 mm.
Energy Counters - S500 Series
S500 Series energy counters are used for industrial and civil environment energy measurement. These are available with embedded communication interfaces such as ModBUS TCP-IP, ModBUS RTU, M-BUS or through external interface modules. These counter are avaible with MID certification. LCD display shows totalizers and instantaneous powers.
Current Transducers - T201 Line
T201 Series AC/DC current trasducers are able to convert the value of the measured current (up to 300A) in an industrial signal 4..20mA or 0..10V. They are available in different sizes and models, including models with patented measuring principle that avoids the thermal drifts.
Energy Measurements Converters
These energy measurements converters can measure voltage and current (both AC and DC) values converting them into a standardized current signal or voltage to the output terminals, proportional to the input value. The scaling parameters of the inputs and outputs are selectable via software or DIP switch.
RTU / Controllers for Energy Management
For Energy Management applications SENECA introduces different CPU like Z-TWS4-E based on IEC 60870-5-101 protocols, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850 and plant automation (Straton - Soft PLC IEC 61131-3). In the same application field MyALARM2-CEI 0-16 is a GSM unit that allows the network operator remote interruption via encrypted SMS.
