SENECA data acquisition for the Trevi Group's record hydromill

SENECA's data acquisition technology, represented by the Fieldbus modules (Modbus, Ethernet, Profinet, CANopen) of the Z-PC Series, offers galvanic isolation and diagnostics functions integrated into the machine. This approach also offers the advantage of a reduced footprint in the control cabinet due to the compactness of the required I/O modules.

TREVI Group

Founded in Cesena in 1957 by Cavalier Davide Trevisani, the Trevi Group is a world leader in underground engineering for special foundations, tunnel excavations, soil consolidation, and the construction and marketing of specialized machinery and equipment for the sector. Among the reasons for the success of the Trevi Group are its internationalization and the continuous integration and interchange between its two divisions: Trevi, which carries out special foundations and soil consolidation works for large infrastructure projects (subways, dams, ports and docks, bridges, railway and motorway lines, industrial and civil buildings), secures polluted sites, builds and manages underground and automated car parks, and Soilmec, which designs, manufactures and markets machinery, plants and services for ground engineering. The parent company Trevi Finanziaria Industriale Spa has been listed on the Milan stock exchange since July 1999

Depth record drilling

The Trevi Group has once again written an important page in subsurface engineering, thanks to the use of a newly developed Hydro Mill. Trevi has acquired the capacity to construct diaphragms up to a depth of 250 meters; a goal never reached before, and until now considered unthinkable. The depth of 250 meters exceeds by more than 100 meters the maximum limit never reached before, and therefore represents a record, both in terms of application and in terms of the knowledge required to manage the ground and deep water, as well as the development of a machine capable of digging up to that height.

SENECA technology

The hydro mill's wiring system and control panel are key to reducing overall time and money expenditure: from planning and design to installation, commissioning, and maintenance. SENECA's data acquisition technology, represented by the Fieldbus modules (Modbus, Ethernet, Profinet, CANopen) of the Z-PC Series, offers galvanic isolation and diagnostics functions integrated onboard the machine. This approach also offers the advantage of a reduced footprint in the control cabinet due to the compactness of the required I/O modules.
