Upgrades for IEC 61131 Straton controllers

OPC UAOPC UA is a standard for cross-client communications based on the client-server principle via an independent platform. SENECA controllers operate as OPC UA Client/Server and can be used in automation and data management applications with OPC UA Client/Server from other manufacturers, in accordance with the main security protocols such as SSL/TLS and X.509.

MQTTMQTT is the suitable protocol for the transmission of data generated by IoT devices and for M2M connections: it facilitates the exchange of messages, minimizes network traffic and requires few resources for the management of connected devices. In SENECA controllers MQTT parameterization is done via Web Server, SofPLC Straton or overwrite system files. For the authentication of SSL/TLS security connections, digital certificates uploaded via Ftp Server are used.

CLOUD SUPPORTControllers can connect machines and industrial plants, and thousands of I/Os in the field, to third party Cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Databoom, Rilheva) through http/Mqtt protocols. This mechanism is based on the coding of messages that make the Cloud platform able to natively interpret the content of messages sent by SENECA controllers.

ModBUS PASS THROUGH (GATEWAY/BRIDGE features)
Advanced ModBUS Pass-Through function allows ModBUS devices to divert requests from ModBUS TCP-IP nodes to the RS485 serial port, which allows them to act as gateway/bridge. In the controllers the ModBUS Pass-Through mode allows the conversion from ModBUS TCP-IP protocol to ModBUS RTU for the access to devices equipped with RS485 or RS232 serial port through Ethernet ports (502 or 503 in case of Z-TWS4 controllers).

SMART METERING
They can support M-Bus networks via Z-MBUS adapter or Z-KEY-MBUS gateway connected to the serial or Ethernet port. The management of M-Bus devices through tools integrated in the web server for configuration, scanning, diagnostics and appropriate IEC 61131 Straton read/write function blocks.
